    Informative and Fun
This is a really informative podcast. I get just as much out of this podcast that airs once a week as opposed to 5 days a week. Check it out if you want a fun and informative podcast on movie news!

    Love it!
Great show with some great guys!

Good source of movie news, but lacks the movie press feel now
I’ve listened to this podcast for a while now. I still enjoy it but I feel like the new hosts lack the insight that Jeff Snyder had in regards to film journalism. Simon is still great but Dimitri in particular seems to drag the premise of the show down.

    Replace Snieder Please
I’ve listened to this podcast loyally for 2 years in spite of Jeff’s abrasive arrogance. I’ve decided I can’t take it anymore. I always came here for the latest reviews and inside info but it’s not worth it anymore. Simon is wonderful - Jeff’s been fired from every job he’s had in the last couple of years and it’s not hard to see why. Popcorn talk - can you please let this guy go so I can enjoy Simon and any replacement who can respect their audience as well as report scoops and give respectable reviews? For listeners wondering what the latest disrespect he’s pulled on his audience, look no further than 4/27/2018’s tirade he unleashes on fans of his own show. Someone message me on Facebook when he’s gone so I can listen again - Jon Santana, New York.

    Informative
An entertaining breakdown of all the movie news that can happen in a week. Jeff and Simon (plus random co-hosts) are good journalists that don't shy away from hot takes. If you want to know what goes on in the movie biz, listen.

Only movie podcast I listen to anymore
After the rise of comic book movies, so much movie related material is focused only on that. So much so that it can a little bit suffocating. So know, I only listen to this podcast. They cover some CBMs, but you can tell at their hearts they are true film fans so their topics are more so based towards the film industry and the Oscars etc. really great podcast. Jeff Sneider, one of the hosts is truly great. He really puts a lot of thought into his opinions and he also occasionally throws out the big movie scoop. A+ podcast!

    Great podcast
Love the podcast , but I wish the episodes updates wouldn’t lag so much on iTunes, but other than that it’s a great movie source outlet

    obnoxious.
The informnation they give is sometimes interesting. However, the English guy sounds like a cartoon charector. The otehr guy is arragant and rude. I know I will be accused of sounding like a troll, but I truly am not trying to be. I think the American guy is very rude to the English guy and its really obnoxious to listen too. Also, most of teh movie information they give is about fluff movies. There ase so many other movie podcasts that cover much of teh same stuff but are not annoying. 3 thumbs down.

Great insight to the inner workings of Hollywood and the movie industry.

One of the best movie shows out there
These guys cram a hell of a lot into each show but always have an opinion or some insight to share whether it's positive or negative. Funny, informative and they often have some great scoops too that I have seen other outlets then pick up on. You might not always agree with what they say but they don't always just go with the popular line which is refreshing. There's the odd hiccup occasionally but I do love this show and I deserves to have a bigger audience.

    Whatever
Jeff Sneider is a complete tool. I like Simon well enough. Jeff's opinion on how Hollywood shouldn't be forced to consider POC directors and then how the white washing was sooo overblown in Ghost in the Shell like way to sound like a white dude. Idk I'm sure there are plenty of white men who love this podcast I guess, and they have good scoops that I loved listening to, but I found Sneider's opinions very offensive and I don't think he's sought out to actually understand the problem of white washing and actually looking to hire non white, male directors in Hollywood. I feel like he'd be satisfied with the status quo forever because he's a white guy. Anyway. Good scoops, funny Brit, annoying American.

Worst show on the Popcorn Talk Network
Horrible show and it's mostly Simon Thompson's fault. He's a smug and unlikable host, a confused movie reviewer who seems to struggle with comprehending simple movie plots, and an unethical journalist, who blatantly and openly advocates breaking the rules of journalism right here on this show. What kind of professional journalists openly advocate illegally signing fake names on non-disclosure agreements, in order to get away with releasing information that they've been entrusted not supposed to release? What kind of professional journalists claim that no self-respecting journalist would sign their real name on an agreement? What kind of professional journalists support "making a stink about it" when confronted about releasing said confidential information? The unethical hosts/guests of this show, that's who. And these idiots need to stop acting like they can review movies - maybe just stick to celebrity gossip - because they're too dumb to comprehend the movies they've watched. They keep complaining that movies don't make sense, plots don't make sense, they don't understand what happened in the movie, and so on, as if movies are too confusing for them to comprehend. Well, I've seen the same movies and I've had no problem understanding. So it's not the movie's fault, the hosts of this show are just stupid. For example, get this, in one episode in which Simon and his co-hosts were trying to trash a movie they've watched, they complained about how the villain of the movie "came outta nowhere" at the end of the movie. They claimed to have looked around, baffled and confused, asking the other people in the theater what's going on in the movie, because they didn't understand who the villain was. They had no idea who the villain was or where he came from. They used this point to argue that the movie was "truly horrible" and "nothing makes sense." But the movie they're talking about is a sequel and it was the same villain from the previous movie! These guys are so dumb that they apparently had no clue who the villain was, even though he'd been around for two movies! If the Popcorn Talk Network had any self respect they'd fire Simon Thompson & Friends and hire some better hosts or just cancel this worthless Movie Press show altogether.

    Well produced and informative.
These guys have good informative news each week with their own unique and interesting interplay between them. The hosts are very funny and provide good insight and have well rounded opinions on the industry and every topic. Their mix of genuine humor and movie insight makes this one of my favorite movie related podcasts.

These guys know their stuff. A great source for more than just main stream films.
  • SioneTuitaBMahe
    Smart guys but
If your not a fanboy your not going to enjoy this show ! It's called movie press but just like other movie shows they only talk about movies dealing with comic books or Star wars. It needs more variety if it's going to be a movie talk show.

An Insider's Look into the Industry...
Being a person who knows very little about film journalism, I find this podcast fascinating! The enthusiastic Mark (YODI!!!!) and Jeff give us a peek into their jobs, digging into the movie news and how they get their scoops.

AMC Movie talk for the schmoes
I love the show. Its worth your time if you want the news
  • Awesome possum!!!!!
    Great movie news.
Along with all the other podcasts, this one is way more laid back with less people and focused mainly on what they're talking about and don't ever veer off. Mark Yodi Reiley is the man, and I love to agree and disagree with him, which makes one hell of a show. I recommend this to anyone who likes movies and wants to get a breakdown on what's out and what's good. Keep up the great work guys!

Offering a unique view behind the curtain of the film reporting industry!
I’ve loved and been interested in movies for as long as I can remember, but it was only in the past few years ago that I started closely following the development of films, listening to podcasts, and frequenting movie blogs. I’ve gained such a more complete understanding of the industry in that time, and I really credit that to shows like this that really open up and give insight on the behind the scenes going-ons. I look forward to continuing to hear from different guests about how they got involved, how they made their mark, and continuing to hear the break down of the most recent movie news. Keep up the good work, I really loving the quality of the shows on the SK network!
  • mooooviebuff
