Energetic and "Funny" in its way
You need to be a bit prepared to listen and enjoy it. Also, keep in mind that the hosts and the panelists are nor "average" Canadians but with significant lean to the left but they are open about it. For a political and policy junkie, it was a joy to hear an informed, passionate group of panelists covering the areas of coalition politics, development of policies, federal issues with the relationship with provinces, and above all, the complexity of implementation with many agencies involved.

    Love these two!
Their dynamic is hilarious and the conversation light and informative. Btw guys, QC exists and you should give it some attention too. Overall, two thumbs up!

    unparalleled coverage; unseasoned hosts
Insightful commentary that provides perspective on Canadian politics from different parts of the country. This political diversity is not available from any other source in Canada. However, it needs to be clear on what its "vision" is. As an "opposition" show it raises some good discussions between Ms. Gerson and Mr. Ling, however every time one talks over the other (or, for example, a guest, like Ms. Gerson did throughout the most recent episode), it becomes impossible to understand. They are both intelligent and articulate, but both could benefit from some kind of radio training. This COULD be is a sound-mixing problem, but I think it's something that just doesn't work for this medium

    A Coup for Canadaland
Jen Gerson is just about the sharpest national political commentator these days so it’s a huge coup that Canadaland was able to bring her into their podcast network. Only thing I don’t get is the initial “oppositional” format between Jen and Justin. I don’t get why they play this up in the title and opening sequence. OPPO is not a “crosstalk”-style, oppose-for-the-sake-of-opposition show, and that’s good!
