The Drake Basketball Podcast is my favorite basketball podcast. This was a great season of Drake University Men and Women’s Basketball.

I enjoy the team of Donald and Jason. You compliment each other well and your love of Duke basketball is outstanding. Keep it up!

The Duke Basketball Roundup podcast makes following college basketball more fun for me. Watching a team grow during the course of a College basketball season is a fun fan experience and Jason and Donald help me notice and appreciate details that enhance that. They share stats and tell stories for an entertaining mix of analytics and narrative. Sometimes they get audio from interviews in the locker room or the postgame press conference. Sometimes they have guests like Kenny Dennard, Jay Bilas, or the parents of a player. They also use features like the season-long stats game, fan headlines, play of the game, and player of the week to give their episodes structure and focus. Great show.

Hearing these guys whine about the officiating in the loss to UNC was delicious. 10/10 homerism.

I always look forward to episodes of this show, keeps me connected to Duke. Thanks for producing it so consistently at a high level!

I love the pod, but Jason is off in his comments about FSU football. Look, personally I don’t care. But the fact is the committee acted according to criteria they were given. One criterion in the list they were given was “players who would not be available”. You may disagree with that being a factor but it was. And it is reasonable to consider that factor even if it is heart-breaking. You know factually Jason, FSU is nowhere near the same team without Travis. You say GA should be allowed if the committee wants the best 4 teams but again look at the list of criteria Jason. On the list is “conference championship”. GA did not win one! Washington, AL, TX, & Michigan did. GA did NOT! FSU did—but clearly one champion was going to be left out. The one missing their QB was the one—it has nothing to do with them being in ACC. Plus, how unintelligent is FSU to allege that it is and then sue because of it…when it literally will NEVER happen again because there will never be only 4 teams in CFB play-off again. Jason don’t drink the FSU kool-aid. Look at the list of criteria and you will see they made the only reasonable choice they could make. I hate it for ACC. But we can’t be blind to the facts. —Blue Gator

I’ve been a Duke fan for over 30 years. These guys, by far, deliver the best, most fair analysis of all things Duke basketball. They’re obviously passionate fans but they’re measured and reasonable. Having listened to every Duke podcast available - these guys are hands down the best I’ve found.

Dbr bites are great. Perfect for previews and other things. Great for quick and digestible content without having to dedicate time to a full episode. I need more Sam though.

Great podcast. The issue with the refs last game. If you do your research one of those refs called the duke vs sparty in dukes last ncaa game. If you dig more he grew up in diehard sparty family so much that his dad used to have a house in east lancing just to go to games. Yes i am still not happy about that elite 8 matchup. Can you please do a deeper dive on aj griffin on offense i have been showing my 5 year old what being always ready to shoot looks like. Thanks for all the content keep up the good work. Please do some digging on that ref i would like for this ref to not call duke or sparty games due to conflict of interest. Best Duke super fan podcast. Jason, Sam and Donald have been podding all things Duke hoops from projecting rotations and stats to breakdowns of games played and upcoming opponents for almost 400 episode now. You won’t find three fans more passionate, interesting and informative than these now-seasoned podcast pros.

The majority of these guy have below average knowledge of Duke basketball. They say stuff all the time that just isn’t true and makes no sense. The analysis is no better than a bunch of guys talking in a bar that catch a few Duke games a year.

For a dedicated Duke basketball show, you guys need to do your homework. The arrest didn’t happen anywhere near Chapel Hill, even though it was in Orange County. Before you report and publish, get the facts.

Not a regular listener, but what happened to finishing up Return to Glory re the 2001 team?

When can we expect the completion of return to to glory?

They barley call the team or the coaches out on anything. We are all Duke fans but I prefer a more realistic observation to the game.

Your lack of willingness to call out bad play and bad coaching is weak. Coach K needs to be held accountable for his stubbornness. His handling of the reporter post game was embarrassing. Finally, your comments about Wendell Moore finally becoming the player we bought he would be???? What???? Wendell Moore shouldn’t even be starting games let alone playing heavy minutes. If I were the opposing coach, I would let him shoot all day. I am a lifelong Duke fan and will continue to be but sadly will no longer listen to your podcast.

You guys are to podcasts what Duke is to college basketball, aka the best in the world! Thank you guys for all of the awesome duke content, I have been hooked on DBR since 2015. As a duke junkie living in Ohio you guys are my go to for duke news and analysis. I love hearing from old duke players and coaches when they come onto your show. The “craziest Coach K stories” are amazing! My question for you guys is what was your favorite Duke national championship team?

I don’t have any friends that are Duke fans, but listening to this podcast makes it feel like I do. I love the conversation and the analysis. I do have a question. Which Duke player that left school early would have had the most successful career had they stayed all 4 years in school?

If you a duke fan this is the best podcast to watch. They have kept me entertained during the covid era and they have been doing a great job. I have i question though who do you think is the best duke player of all time.

As a long-time subscriber and listener, I’m a huge fan of DBR. Though we’re all mourning the 2019-20 season, and very concerned about when and how basketball returns, Sam, Jason, and Donald have done a great job keeping the content-taps flowing in The Great COVID Sports Drought of 2020. These guys are pretty good. Love their energy and passion for duke, and I like their technique for rotating the hosting responsibilities and using the duke band for transitions. I only gave 3 stars because other than some of their ‘parting shots,’ I feel like most of their content seems to follow popular headlines. Feel like they could/should go deeper.

Love the Podcast, but please be consistent. If Duke gets a big win or there is big news on the recruiting trail, here comes “emergency” immediate recordings. If Duke loses a Big Game, we get nothing but crickets! Duke just lost a couple of days ago to UNC and Zion went down...that should call for an “immediate reaction”. Guys ... win or lose, you should be recording within 24 hours. Duke fans don’t hide in shadows and Coach K doesn’t coach losers! Why have a Podcast if you can’t give your opinion during tough times? Man Up!

If you like Duke even a little, you must listen to every episode.

As a true blue Duke fan and alumnus, I'm so glad to have found this podcast. I watch every minute of every basketball game, but I don't have the basketball expertise to dissect the game and off-court strategy and dynamics the way these guys do. The hosts are also so passionate, and they bring color to both Duke topics as well as their personal contexts and why they love sports. Please keep up the great work and go where your instincts take you, because avid fans will love all the depth and passion you give us!!!
