Unbearable narration! If this isn’t AI, someone please coach this guy! In terms of the subject matter, the material is interesting but little new or unknown about the case.

Tear-jerker this one.. Brought to mind a similar portrayal in the movie: A Torch Song Trilogy, produced around the height of “Gay-bashing” in Australia. Well done 👍 as always. Thank you!

We listen to lots of True Crime Genre Podcast and Casey is our favorite by far because we like Australian accents and Casey sticks to the facts . He doesn’t make light of the serious subject matter and he doesn’t peanut gallery or try to judge people’s motives and intentions. We hope Casey Will keep producing lots of content and we absolutely love how deep and thoroughly he dives into each and every case :)

My favorite true crime podcast

The gay agenda. Bad timing

Lacks personality. Monotonous narration with very little inflection. As others have mentioned, it sounds like an Aussie AI bot reading a script. No thanks. Not sure if that’s true, but if not the guy needs to work on his skills. Tedious.

There is only one Casey. The master of the deepest deep dive. Into famous and obscure cases that have unexpected twists and endings. And important points and precedents. I have heard cases and learned things on Casefile that changed my thinking about various crime-related topics. Thank you Casey!

I’ve been a groupie of this podcast since 2020, and have been a premium subscriber for several years now. Very disappointed that all the new episodes are repeats of premium episodes? Were we not supposed to notice this? This seems antithetical to the integrity of the podcast—hopefully there will be an explanation given but I’m going ahead and not renewing my premium subscription.

i’ve loved this podcast for a while but i’m confused why now all new episodes are premium only, and the non premium ones are just repeats/old episodes?? i’ve been waiting a while for a new episode that wasn’t paywalled - i see lindsey jarret’s name come up - i listened to that episode at least a year ago? mind you i used to be premium but cancelled because there were never any new episodes/it was not providing benefit

I’ve tried many other true crime podcasts but I don’t like their lightness and comedy around the subject matter. I like facts and storytelling which is what I get here. I don’t need the fluff, just the information. Thanks for a great podcast.

One of the most respectful True Crime podcasts I’ve listened to next to Dateline. I’ve had to turn off quite a few in disgust from how they treat the topic matter, and I can see the audience of those types of podcasts reflected in some of the low star reviews on this podcast (you’re mad because missing person cases are ‘boring’? Seriously, dude? Develop some human empathy.)

I enjoy listening to true crime podcasts that have humor or commentary, but this one is enjoyable for its simplicity in story telling…as well as the soothing sound of his voice.

Narration is horrible sounds like a monotone Australian robot.

I’ve been around from the beginning but am lately feeling lukewarm about the choices of topic. I skip all the Q and A and most of the spin offs. Not much interested in cases about people “missing” (they’re dead) for decades. Update: These breaks are just too long to pay for. The last content was only boring Q and A. No none of my other podcasts take such lengthy breaks. Hey, it’s Feb 14! When do you get back to work?? You are skating on your reputation and it’s wearing thin. Finally back—unfortunately with a two parter that should have been one. What a slog to get through—and waited a week for too.

So refreshing to hear a male voice doing the narration. Too many true crime podcasts are are narrated by females, and frankly, difficult to listen to and take seriously.

So disappointed… after waiting 2 months for the new season I had to immediately turn it off. After years of not falling into the annoying “suspenseful” music that so many podcast do, CF has made the horrible decision to have LOUD music playing in the background. It’s distracting and takes away so much from the actual information. Will probably be discontinuing my subscription after years because of this. It’s genuinely obnoxious and unnecessary to have constant music in the background at the same volume as the host. RIP to my favorite podcast.

I pay for a subscription, but there haven’t been new episodes in months. I reached out to Apple, but I also wanted to post here. I don’t think it’s fair to have to pay for a subscription when there’s no new content. If the creators of CaseFile could please reach out to me about a refund for the dormant months and an update for when new episodes will be coming out, I would appreciate it. if this can be resolved, I will update my review.

I love this podcast. But as others stated, I paid both December and January and no new content has been uploaded. I keep up with all current episodes so I unsubscribed as a premium subscriber. Disappointed!

I wonder how Case File intends to compensate premium subscriber users for the two months, and counting, of no episodes. This is a great podcast, but the constant hiatus is ridiculous. Plan ahead and record some episodes for your subscribers to listen to while you are away. It’s a bad reflection of your professionalism and shows a lack of value / appreciation for your subscribers. I’ve already been charged for February and here we are a third of the way through the month. I also no longer see the brief podcast that states you will be back in February? Not sure what that means.

I found case files a few years ago and couldn’t stop listening! Awesome content, research and presentation. However, I’m paying for the premium membership and we’ve had no new content since November of 24’. It’s a bit ridiculous to expect fans to pay money for nothing. Especially during this economy. Casefile, please do better or provide regular updates for your customers.

Do episodes on Nashville Tennessee’s most infamous cases: Missing: Tabitha Tuders. Murdered: Janet March and Marcia Trimble. They’re better than all your other episodes. You’re welcome.

Like others, I feel the long breaks are wild for premium subscribers without having anything prepared to release for months at a time. Breaks are needed, but this seems really excessive for people paying and getting nothing for weeks and weeks.

It’s a weekly podcast that does not distribute new content for at least a quarter of the year. And that’s for premium subscribers! Quality of the storytelling and content has gone downhill as well. Too bad!

I love this podcast, SO MUCH!! But where is my content? Would you recommend I stop paying for my subscription? It’s not fair to those of us who pay you every month and receive nothing in return.

This is my favorite podcast ever, I’ve listened to every episode twice. However, I’m paying for a premium subscription and it’s been nearly 2 months since they’ve put anything out. I’m unsubscribing because it feels wasteful to pay for something and not even get older re-released podcasts.

Highly recommend, but I do miss the content. It’s almost February 2025, and patiently waiting on a new episode. Truly miss your podcasts…

Each episode is well-produced and engaging, with great storytelling that keeps you hooked. Casefile host has a unique way of adding depth to the stories, making it feel personal.

I’ve been listening to case file for years i think there’s not one I haven’t listened too I’m used to the yearly holiday break but it’s so long to be paying for a subscription and not have one new episode all month :( still patiently waiting though.

I really enjoy listening to this podcast but there are too many long breaks so I have cancelled my premium subscription.

This is my absolute favorite true crime podcast. I wish they didn’t take such long breaks.

I’ve been listening since day 1 and this is my #1 crime podcast. I love the work that Casey & the team do to put as much detail as possible into these episodes. There’s no chatter about his own opinions. There’s no fluff added in to prolong the episodes. It’s LITERALLY what the name implies: like he’s reading facts straight from a casefile. The detail put into maintaining the timeline and really painting a picture for listeners is amazing as well. As for the “month long gaps” people are whining about… it isn’t easy to put together this much information about a case. Let alone the 100+ cases they cover in a year. It takes time and so much reaching out to others, and then more time waiting on answers from sources, etc… so I’m always more than happy to wait the gaps. I’m literally counting down the days for whenever y’all start posting again in Feb. ❤️ luckily Casefile Presents has other great podcasts they do as well. A few of which I definitely binge on repeat during the Casefile breaks because they’re just so good! Thank you guys for the awesome work you do!

I LOVE this podcast and have been a day one listener, however recently there has been such a gap between episodes. Therefore I have had to find other true crime podcasts to fill the void. Please don’t fill the month gaps with filler commercials and such

Always happy to come back and listen to this podcast. I appreciate that this is raw data without any opinions given. Too many podcasts insert their own takes and sometimes I need a break from that. The content is extremely heavy and dark and often gruesome, which means I do end up taking breaks to avoid getting depressed, but frankly if you listen to true crime to cheer yourself up you need to check yourself out anyway lol Also! Despite all the comments from new people who think the host is AI, I still love the tonality of the host’s voice and as any long time listener knows, his voice has been this way since the beginning! Been listening since this show began and I don’t plan to stop.

almost every episode is behind your new paywall. you realize you need to keep *some* shows accessible so that people will join, right? get your bag but this feels excessive.

Curious why it sounds like it’s being narrated by AI? The cadence and tone is not normal…no one talks like that…Would love to actually listen if it sounded like an actual person was speaking.

But I’d guess after years of finding material they are stretching to find fascinating cases. Some recent episodes remind me more of Dateline. The husband did it. The boyfriend did it. You know the answer from the beginning I miss the earlier episodes but what can you do. There are only so many east area rapist or Jonestown massacres to recount, luckily

I was hooked when Stitcher delivered Case 55 into my feed and have been listening ever since. Love the dry delivery and the well-researched information.
