This is the very best audio drama I’ve listened to, and I’ve listened to many. The production is top notch, the acting is great, and the story is compelling and fresh. Highly recommended!

I love Tumanbay, I wish that there were more seasons!

It’s so satisfying to listen to such a quality production. The storyline, acting and sound effects are so good that this is one podcast I can actually close my eyes while I’m listening and I’m there.

This took me a while to find after i waded through the mucky muck of stuff out there. It was nuts trying to find good stuff. Unbeleiveable. This entire thing is amazing! The actors are above the best, the story is VERY good and is worth the wait. Simply put you will have to check it out yourself. This is an example of the type and quality of podcasts we should find out there.

Idk how anyone could complain about ad’s when something this amazing is free. Hands down best podcast. Might not recommend it for someone’s first audio fiction only bc nothing else will come close to it.

The story, the voice acting and efforts , sound design, production and all of the music was exhilarating. I really appreciate the quality of this drama. The story was compelling and the characters were complex and complicated! Five stars!

There is honestly no other podcast I have listened to that comes close. The story telling and acting is amazing! You finish an episode and can’t wait for the next one to begin. It is so so good that it deserves more stars than 5. Truly a remarkable podcast and listening experience… I only wish there could be more!

Can someone explain the ending?

Very entertaining podcast, just finished the first season and am continually impressed with the voice actors...tremendous talents. What visual actors do with their facial expressions and body language, these professionals convey with just their voices. They’re so good. But the REAL star of this podcast is sound design/engineering. AMAZING. It’s the soundscapes that transform you to this world so you really feel like you’re in 12th century mid-far east region of the world. I cannot believe I just stumbled upon this podcast. It should be front and center like the other well done and well received period-piece podcasts.

So I drive a truck all day and have listened to most bing worthy fiction podcast, and stumbled upon this, it’s very enjoyable I’m a 41 year old man and I’m hooked

I am nearing the end of the show and I have never hated a character as much as I hate Fatima, which shows how great the actresses are. They made me want to reach through my phone and throttle her! Excellent work by the entire cast, writers and everyone else associated with this podcast.

This is a great audio drama with superb storytelling, a nice change of setting that is not just medieval England again and really great audio design! Anyone looking for a compelling story to dig into should give it a listen.

Definitely my favorite podcast. You can’t help but get drawn in. Everyone is great and the sound and music makes it even better. It’s fun to listen.

I’ve been obsessed with this podcast since I heard my first episode almost 2 years ago. It grips you from the beginning and keeps you at the edge of your seat. At the time only 2 seasons were available and I scoured the internet to find a way to listen. I’m sooooo happy we have more episodes.

Definitely a binge worthy podcast. I’m late to the game, but that makes it almost better in a way, I can put this on and be busy doing things for hours. Get hooked into the story and forget about the stress of what I’m actually doing. It’s a great story line. I love reading fiction, but mostly listen to true crime. So to me this is overall a fantastic podcast that I would highly recommend to everyone I know! Thank you. Keep up the good work!

I didn’t even get through the first season. There isn’t a whole lot of depth to this show. Stopped listening because it became apparent that everyone just wanted to sleep with each other. Which doesn’t add up most of the time.

I burn through podcast as a truck driver. This is getting me through the 14hr days with anticipation for the next episode.

I would give this outstanding podcast 5 stars, but there is an ad for a smoothie company which is so loud, ugly, obnoxious and totally inappropriate for this podcast and it plays all the time. It really cheapens the experience of the podcast. I beg the makers to find advertisers that match the quality of this podcast. I know it’s how you make money, but there must be other companies who would want to advertise to your audience that won’t detract from your listeners’ experiences.

the plot feels repetitious and contrived, as well, continual love triangles. Feels as if they run out of ideas, then think “ah yes, let’s make these people have sex even tho they were headed in total opposite directions just an episode ago!” On top of, should contain a major trigger warning in the 3rd season as a rape is basically depicted in audio form. In the end, the story and characters did not hold up to the gratuitous relational interludes and violence. Darkness is continually hinted at and veiled in threats, but never revealed or moved beyond the point of nebulous reference in different forms. Characters do not remain true to who they supposedly are. Nothing is concrete.

One of the best podcasts I’ve heard please keep it going

I love audio drama/fictional podcasts, and this one is fantastic! I can’t stop listening! The production quality is amazing! The story line and the characters have great detail, and I’m very invested in both. This whole podcast is unique and immersive! Love it!!

This is an entertaining podcast! It has some great twists and such and I am still only at the end of season 1. A couple of things I hope change as the show progresses: - Less kissing sounds, please stop that. - it would be nice to be able to differentiate between the characters based on their voice. The actors do a good job, but the voices are still a bit too similar. I look forward to season 2 & 3

I dislike audio dramas. But this is such a pleasure. Very well thought-out and addictive. Perfection. It beats Homecoming by hundreds of miles.

Tumanbay is great but iheart radio has the worst ads I’ve heard on a podcast. They’re loud, so they blast your ears without warning.

This is a magnificent drama. It is exciting, gripping, and unpredictable. This isn’t just some cheesy, poorly acted production. This is quality entertainment. Give it a listen I believe a lot of you out there will enjoy.

The first season built up some very interesting characters and a very exciting world. The voice acting is all very good. However the story just doesn’t really make sense and I kept getting distracted from the podcast because the plot was nonsense and couldn’t finish it

Sweeping Drama with wonderful sound effects. Love following the characters as they develop.

I’ve been looking for more story podcasts, and I’m glad I tried this one! A little hard to follow in the beginning, but you’ll figure it out pretty quickly. Another plus is that there isn’t an overwhelming amount of cussing. We need more podcasts like Tumanbay.

This podcast is setting the tone for production value. Looking through the lower ratings it was given - found it astounding how many people start by saying they liked the show and then gave it one or two stars. What a shame. A LOT of love went into the production of this podcast. People who are critical should try to make something themselves.

I listen to a lot of podcasts, and this one beats most of them. They do a wonderful job of creating a compelling storyline and combining it with detailed audio design. Reminds me of the show Rome, on HBO.

This podcast was a great find. I stumbled onto this one night and can’t stop listening. Great characters and story. I can’t wait for the next episode.

Listened to many-a-podcast of every conceivable genre and this podcast is in the top 3. Simply incredible. The writing is unmatched. Could easily be a show on a major network. Keep me’ coming!!!

I’ve been waiting for season 3 for a long time. Easily one of the best audio dramas out there. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Very good. Lots of characters, interesting story. Takes a couple episodes to get a handle on all the different characters and storylines, but very intriguing. I think about this podcast when I’m not listening to it, so it’s definitely getting through to me.

So happy a third season is out!!

Heard about this podcast from an Ad on other iHeart podcasts. I'm intrigued to hear it, but I had a hard time finding it because I didn't know how to spell Tumanbay (I thought the podcast was called "To Mumbai"). It might help the advertising to spell it out.

I love and hate this podcast. The production is amazing. Almost all of the voice acting is impeccable. My friend and I listened to seasons 1&2 together and went crazy talking about it and telling everyone. Season 3 just kind of took a nosedive for me. There’s a certain sordid love triangle that kind of killed all of my excitement for the characters involved. All of the characters in season 3 got messy and dumb and everyone’s constantly making poor decisions. I can’t find anyone to root for; even the characters I know I’m probably supposed to be rooting for. Give it a try. I’m going to give it a listen when season 4 airs, but I’m not hopeful.
